Rebecca Self, Founder and Executive Director of Kentucky’s first indoor aquaponic non-profit farm, FoodChain, stops by Bluegrass Bios to talk with Chuck Clenney about how this hyper-local effort came about, how they cyclically grow their Tilapia and a variety of herbs and greens utilizing fish waste, and are working to create fish food from spent grain from their building-mates, West Sixth Brewing.

We also talk about their brand new Teaching and Processing Kitchen and Community Room and how this new facility enhances their educational outreach to local schools and communities by helping to spread the good word to students and adults alike about healthy eating and the benefits of local food production and preparation!
