Heat your skillets and listen in as three co-hosts Chef Ouita Michel, sommelier Chris Michel, and food writer Rona Roberts open by talking among ourselves about foods, drinks, and recipes we enjoy. The talk roots deep in Kentucky’s fertile soil. Think bourbon, sorghum, and cornmeal (with oysters and the occasional lemon squeezed in). Then we invite guests, including poets, farmers, cooks, artists, historians, gardeners, and listeners, to join the juicy, ever-widening conversation about Kentucky’s splendid food and drink.

Haven’t been on two wheels since you were knee-high to a bike pump? Or you just can’t get enough road time in your life?
John and Wanda are here for you, covering all things cycling in Lexington and beyond. Helping you get out and enjoy our towns and countryside – safely. If you have a topic you’d like us to cover please let us know. We’d love to hear your ideas!
John Fry has always had a love for cycling and exploring nature. But like most of us, with a full-time career and raising a family, it’s been hard to get in a lot of road time. In 2007 John had a short stint working at a bicycle shop that rekindled his lifelong love of cycling. John feels that cycling offers a way to get away and achieve a peace that is hard to explain. John believes that cycling offers numerous benefits that everyone can experience and enjoy, regardless of their lifestyle or level of fitness.
Wanda Bertram has always loved the outdoors. For years, she reveled in occasionally hitting a trail on her hybrid or mountain bike. Then in 2010, she bought a road bike and went a little nuts, logging over 3,200 miles her first season. The added euphoria of cycling the roads of Kentucky doesn’t look like it’s wearing off anytime soon.
